Have Yourself A Merry, Contemplative, Enigmatic, Rocking little Christmas that you won’t forget at the Second Annual Winter Woods with Kevin Max
Long known as the mysterious, wandering, and poetic third of iconic Christian music powerhouse DC Talk, Kevin Max has charted a career path that has ventured wildly off the tracks and around the trappings of his DC Talk cohorts Michael Tait and TobyMac. With multiple books and albums ranging from his iconic solo debut STEREOTYPE BE and the alt/rock/nuwave bent of PLAYING GAMES WITH THE SHADOW, to the moonlit lounge lizard texture of STARRY EYED SURPRISE under his belt, Max has proven himself to be an artist difficult to categorize.
That’s why it’s difficult to know exactly what to expect when Kevin Max and “the boat band” (Aaron Smith, Jimmy Abegg, Stu G, and John Mark Painter) take the stage at the Franklin Theatre in Franklin, TN on December 1st, 2017 for the second annual Winter Woods concert. Those in attendance at last years inaugural Winter Woods at Max’s Blind Thief Farm were treated to spoken word poetry and a variety of tunes ranging from Max originals to covers of classics from the likes of David Bowie and Nat King Cole.
For this Winter Woods, Max has hinted that there will be a theatrical element and a few surprises for those in attendance at the Franklin Theatre. What that all will look like on December 1 is yet to be seen. But, one thing attendees can count on is that it is going to be a show to remember.
