Kevin Max’s newest project, SERVE SOMEBODY, will officially be released on July 8th. This is the eighth in a series of MEANDERS MUSIC posts counting down to the release. Prior posts: The Hard Way – Existence – Creed – Playing Games With The Shadow – Kings & Queens – Red Letters – Infinite
2013 brought the announcement that Kevin Max would be teaming up with Mark Stuart and Will McGinniss to relaunch another legendary band in the history of contemporary Christian music, Audio Adrenaline, in order to build awareness and support for the band’s non-profit organization, The Hands & Feet Project. The Hands & Feet Project cares for about 100 orphaned and abandoned children at Children’s Villages in Jacmel and Grand Goave, Haiti. “Believer,” the second single from the Audio Adrenaline album KINGS & QUEENS continued the radio success first achieved by the album’s lead single and title track. From the very first notes of the song, the unmistakable voice of Kevin Max demands the listener’s attention and, typically, an involuntary urge to sing alone, “I want to live this life, unsafe, unsure, and not afraid….” That said, the lyrical substance of the song is a solid testament to the power of faith and peace that comes when we truly lay all of our trust and aspirations in the hands of the One who really knows what is best and what we are each capable of. This notion of God’s providence is one that Max holds close and revisits in his new single, “Plans,” which will soon impact radio. While “Plans” isn’t included on the SERVE SOMEBODY project, the faith the the upcoming album celebrates certainly is.
