Kevin Max’s newest project, BROKEN TEMPLES, will officially be released on March 10. I’ll be counting down the remaining days to the release of the album on this page with a post each day exploring and celebrating some of his prior creative ventures.
Today we take a leap from yesterday’s FREE AT LAST-JESUS FREAK/dcTalk-era to Max’s first solo album STEREOTYPE BE. The release of the album was a bold statement as Max cut no corners and made no compromises with the product that he put out. He assembled an amazing set of players and unleashed a stylistic juggernaut that offered no apologies while blazing his own trail away from the strategic tones that he, along with TobyMac and current Newsboys frontman Michael Tait, used to achieve unprecedented success coming out of the Christian market as dcTalk. Featured here is the lead video from STEREOTYPE BE, “Existence.”
